12-WEEK COMPREHENSIVE COURSE

THIS IS OUR MAIN PROGRAM WHICH WILL MAKE YOU LEAVE THIS COURSE LIKE A PROFESSIONAL. THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR ASPIRING MODELS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A SERIOUS CAREER IN MODELLING INDUSTRY AND WILLING TO INVEST IN THEMSELVES.

Why 12 weeks?

There are more materials and technicalities in modelling than you can think of. You can't cover EVERYTHING aspiring models need to know in a day. We are setting a new academic standard as modelling school where we make our students feel like a professional model after they graduate while continuing to guide them from afar. 12 weeks is a normal timeline for a term. It allows students to learn in class once a week, while having that space to practice what they've learnt at home and still able to do their normal daily routine. The longer timeline also allows our students to build connections between their classmates and mentors.

  • 14 hours of training (1 hour/week in the first 10 weeks, 2 hours/week in the last 2 weeks. The extra hour is for graduation rehearsal)

Is there an age category?

Yes! While Sydney Modelling School accomodates all ages, we separate our classes between 3 age categories to keep our courses age appropriate.

  • Junior: Age 5-10
  • Teen: Age 11-17
  • Adult: Age 18+

A parent or a guardian of our juniors and teens is welcome to be present in all classes, but not essential.

We are currently only taking 10 students in each age category as we want to keep it exclusive and high quality. Grab your spot now so you don't miss out! Next term starts on 4th Oct - 20th Dec 2026. Classes will be held every Sunday. Both male and female aspiring models are welcome to apply!

WEEK 1

Getting to Know the Industry & Getting Comfortable in Your Body

Introduction class where you learn the foundational aspects aspiring models need to know before entering the modelling industry.

WEEK 2

Make Up

Learn how to apply make-up on yourself for different modelling occasions.

WEEK 3

Digi Day

A day where we help you take your model digitals and putting it together to start your career.

WEEK 4

How to get Jobs

Learn ways to get jobs once you enter the modelling industry. You will receive personalised guidelines and advice from a working professional model for your career development.

WEEK 5

Posing

Learn the foundations of posing, how to make yourself look less awkward during photoshoot, tips & tricks for different types of photoshoot, etc.

WEEK 6

Individual Photoshoot (Themed)

Our first photoshoot day where we practice what we've learnt the previous week. You will receive the final professional photo taken by a professional photographer for your portfolio.

WEEK 7

Personal Branding

Learn how you want to brand yourself based on your modelling style/category you want to focus on and how to get your name (brand) out there.

WEEK 8

Posing with Props

This is where you  level up your posing skills by learning how to pose with props/ animals/ other models and make it look graceful and coordinated.

WEEK 9

Group Photoshoot (Themed)

Our second and final photoshoot day where we practice what we've learnt the previous week. You will receive the final professional photo taken by a professional photographer for your portfolio.

WEEK 10

Proper Posture & Techniques

Learn the foundational techniques and proper posture for a runway. We will do a mock runway casting in the end where you will receive a personalised feedback on your walk. You are very welcome to record your walk during the mock casting.

WEEK 11

Catwalk & Blocking

Learn how to precisely walk, turn, pose, and effectively showcase your garments on a runway. We will also do a rehearsal for the big graduation runway.

WEEK 12

Graduation Runway

OUR BIGGEST AND FINAL DAY! This is when we get to showcase what we've learnt during our time together and experience your first and REAL runway. You will get the chance to invite your family and friends to watch and support you. You will receive professional photos taken by professional photographers for your portfolio as well as a certificate & goodie bag from Sydney Modelling School.

We understand! Many of us professional models have been in this position before, where we have other priorities. That's why we offer open classes / short workshops where you can just pay as you go and trial our course seriously or even for fun! Name a day and a specific skill you want to learn, we'll be there for you! We are currently taking polls to see what's currently on demand, here are some example of skills we can teach.

Runway Walk

Learn the foundational techniques and proper posture in catwalk.  How to precisely walk, turn, pose, and showcase different type of garments on a fashion runway.

Pageant walk

Learn how to walk gracefully and elegantly in different type of garments for a beauty pageant. Know the difference between fashion catwalk and pageant catwalk.

Posing

Learn the foundations of posing, how to make yourself look less awkward during photoshoot, how to pose in different types of photoshoot, etc. We can break down more materials from posing if there are any individuals who want to learn posing more intensively.

Don't know what to do with your hands when posing? We have the tips and tricks for you!

Posing with Another Model(s)

You will never have to worry about feeling awkward when posing with another individual(s) anymore after this class.

Facial Expressions

Learn how to properly execute your facial expressions for different type of photoshoots and moods you're trying to achieve.

Acting in Modelling (Story Telling)

Learn how to use poses, expressions, and body language to convey a narrative, evoke emotion, or embody a specific character.

Boudoir

Learn how to pose in lingerie. Find out what kind of poses look elegant and enhance your curves.

Couple Photoshoot

Learn how to pose intimately with your real (or fake) partner. Find out the tips and tricks that make people think there's a real spark even if there isn't.

Beauty Photoshoot

Learn how to enhance your beauty with minimum make up and find out what kind of poses you can and should do for this type of photoshoot.

Portfolio Building

Learn how to build for your portfolio from scratch and find out the quickest & most affordable way to update your portfolio.
